Named after a lake on the Maine-New Hampshire border, Umbagog is Dunbarton's value-priced Connecticut Broadleaf line — sold in bundles of 10 rather than boxes. The wrapper uses medium to No. 1 dark Broadleaf primings considered 'too imperfect' visually for Mi Querida, but the flavor is essentially the same DNA: earthy, dark chocolate, leather, pepper. Made at Joya de Nicaragua, this is the everyday workhorse version of the Mi Querida concept at a more accessible price point.
